Targeting The Lower Abs with Cheap Effective Exercises @ Home
The Lower Abs is by far the hardest mid section area to
lose weight. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror as soon as you roll out of bed and asked yourself why do I look so much better in the morning?
The key is not to have belly fat in the first place and it can't hang, but as we grow older and our metabolism begins to slow, it takes more and more for us to burn those empty calories which causes us to hold on to that ugly bulge we begin to see in our mid section.
When working on the Lower Stomach we have to consciously target this area when doing our workout.
Bicycle
While laying on you back with you knees bent. Place you hands behind you ears, Next your going to pump your legs back and forth as if you on a bicycle as you rotate your torso from side to side.
3 Sets of 10 reps
Swiss Ball Crunch Knee Bends
Sit on ball with feet flat on the floor. Place hands behind your head. Be sure to keep your feet on the floor while slowing leaning back until you head, shoulders and back laying on the ball. Slowly curl lifting you back while alternating each knees into a tuck position.
3 Sets of 10 reps
Ab Roller
Start on all fours while holding the ab roller handles in both hands. Slowly extend arms while lowering you torso slowly towards the floor. Be careful not to over extend yourself putting to much pressure on your back. Slowly bring both arms back to a starting position.
Basketball-Ball Torso Rotation
Hold a basketball in front of you and knell sitting on you heels. Twist to your left quickly and set the ball down behind your back. Twist to the right and pick up the ball, bring it back around to your left and set it down again.
4 Sets of 10 reps
Ok...so the problems are, belly fat builds here and we don't get enough lower stomach exercise to this are.
Well outside of liposuction there's only one other way to rid ourselves of that fat in the Lower belly region... you guessed it, Cardio. The key is to burn more calories than we consume.

Yoga Poses that are excellent for working the low abdominals and you can see those on the Yoga Exercises page. Pilates are also great for targeting that troublesome area.
